I’m in the process of moving, the new house is only about 2 miles away and we’re moving everything with a pickup. Well I’m trying to figure out the best way to move what I consider one of my most valuble possessions. Its a 46″ sharp aquos lcd HDTV.
I’m wondering if it needs to remain upright? I have a vague memory that I thought certain TV’s (can’t remember if it was lcd or plasma) were required to stay upright. And I know when the tv was delivered, the box had a up arrow on it?
I was thinking the safest way to move it would be to put all the pillows and couch cushions I own in the bed, and lay it on top, (surrounding all the sides with pillows and blankets and stuff of course), and cover the screen with a nice clean blanket (to keep dust and stuff from the road, off the screen). Is this a safe way to move my TV or is there a better way?
note: when I said lay all the cushions in the bed, I was talking about the bed of the truck.
